This just might be "an-instrumental-album-a-day" week. This is another very solid banger that's been on my mind, this time from (the very Iranian sounding) Panzah Zandahz, a producer from Portland. The album, No Chance to Shine: Unreleased Production 2002 - 2006 is a fucking orgy of golden-era boom-bap drums, weird movie dialogue, and dusty ass, well chosen and operated samples. It's the complete rap album....comical, thoughtful, jazzy, DIY, electric, and still compels head-nodding.

If Ali Shaheed Muhammad met RJD2 while raping Prince Paul....no doubt the anal birth soup would be Panzah. Pan-zah! Pan-zah! Pan-zah!

Grade: A+
